چکیده

The utilization of metal oxide-zeolite catalysts in the syngas-to-olefin reaction is a promising strategy for producing C2–C4 olefins from non-petroleum resources. However, effect crystal phase oxides on catalytic activity these still ambiguous. Herein, typical (ZnO/ZrO2) with different phases (monoclinic (m-ZrO2) and tetragonal (t-ZrO2)) were employed syngas conversion. (ZnO/m-ZrO2+SAPO-34) composite catalyst exhibited 80.5% selectivity at CO conversion 27.9%, where results are superior to those (CO 16.4% olefin 76.1%) obtained over (ZnO/t-ZrO2+SAPO-34). distinct differences ascribed larger number hydroxyl groups, Lewis acid sites, oxygen defects ZnO/m-ZrO2 compared ZnO/t-ZrO2. These features result formation more formate methoxy intermediate species during conversion, followed by light SAPO-34. present findings provide useful information design highly efficient ZrO2-based

Synthesis of SAPO-34 catalysts via controlled crystal growth

Introduction SAPO-34 is a silicoaluminophosphate zeolite with 8-membered ring windows (~0.38nm) displaying chabazite structure. SAPO-34 is an efficient catalyst showing improved catalytic performance in reactions such as methanol conversion to olefins [1], oxidative dehydrogenation of propane [2], conversion of light alkenes [3]. Its catalytic properties are mainly attributed to its mild acidit...

Effect of Feedstock and Catalyst Impurities on the Methanol‐to‐Olefin Reaction over H‐SAPO‐34

Operando UV/Vis spectroscopy with on-line mass spectrometry was used to study the effect of different types of impurities on the hydrocarbon pool species and the activity of H-SAPO-34 as a methanol-to-olefins (MTO) catalyst. Successive reaction cycles with different purity feedstocks were studied, with an intermittent regeneration step. The combined study of two distinct impurity types (i.e., f...

Methanol-to-Hydrocarbons Product Distribution over SAPO-34 and ZSM-5 Catalysts: The applicability of Thermodynamic Equilibrium and Anderson-Schulz-Flory Distribution

The product distribution of methanol to hydrocarbons conversion over SAPO-34 and ZSM-5 catalysts was studied using thermodynamic equilibrium and Anderson-Schulz-Flory (ASF) distributions. The equilibrium compositions were calculated using constrained Gibbs free energy minimization. The effect of catalyst type was considered by setting upper limits to product carbon number due to sh...

Effect of Synthesis Parameters on Phase Purity, Crystallinity and Particle Size of SAPO-34

An account is presented on investigation of the effects of synthesis parameters, i.e., reaction sources, silica to alumina ratio, acid molar ratio and crystallization conditions on the crystallinity, morphology and particle size of SAPO-34. The synthesis conditions were designed to produce small particles with narrow size range. The prepared samples were characterized by XRD and SE...
